Happy February!

It’s All About Love

Our Focus this February is on Love

Yes, I know, it is only the 5th of February as I write this and I have already had my fill of cheesy jewelry commercials! Truly I have! The brash commercialism that happens with almost all holidays these days distorts the true meaning and brings many of us to want to scream Bah Humbug and in this case, perhaps scream Bah Humbug to Love. But let’s not . . .

Love is a worthy truth to pursue. That Saint Valentine held the virtues of love and marriage so highly that when marriage was outlawed, at tremendous risk to himself, he held secret services to wed lovers – for which he was unfortunately found out, imprisoned and executed. This sacrifice for love is from which the holiday originates, the acknowledgement of the importance of love and perhaps a good reminder and cause to celebrate love. We do often take great risks for love, make sacrifices and when the love bug bites we are sometimes emboldened to take what in other circumstances we would consider out of character, crazy-ass actions.

While generally February’s focus seems to be solely on romantic love, let us look at, remember and celebrate the whole truth and beauty of Love in all its infinite expressions.

Although we may do some of the craziest things in the name of love, in its Highest and Truest Form, Love does bring out the best in us . . .

Love has and will no doubt continue to be the inspiration for some of the greatest works of art, music, literature, and poetry . . .

Love does embolden us with great courage, giving us courage to slay demons and to do battle against all forms of monsters, be it the monsters of oppression, injustice, intolerance, illness, and against the demons of any and all forms of suffering and abuse . . .

Love is the core of our more noble qualities, including compassion and grace, so that when/where there is need, the love we have for our fellow beings, (human, animal and the earth) finds us stepping out of our self and into service . . .

Love is what allows us to endure and to continue through our darkest hours

Love is what illuminates our brightest moments

Love is the source that allows us to let go and say good bye . . .

Love is the open door that says hello, welcome into my heart . . .

Love is the essence of forgiveness and the truth of our integrity . . .

Love is the bedside vigil, holding sacred space through the transition of physical life . . .

Love is the hand that holds the other, lending strength and comfort . . .

Love is the warm embrace that in perhaps every language says ‘you are loved’ . . .

Love is behind the smile that we give to a stranger . . .

And yes, Love is also in the kiss that allows the whole world to fade into the background, leaving only the two lovers in their conscious existence . . .

Love is behind the bark of the tiny toy poodle protecting its human from the giant mailman . . .

Love is expressed and experienced with our friendships, our families, with our children, with our beloved pets, with all our relations and through the essence of oneness. We have love for the heroes who inspire us, for the saints and those of ascended consciousness, we love and cheer for the underdogs in life and let’s admit it we also often have a soft spot for the rebels, those who dare to go against the grain . . .

Love in its highest and truest expression does indeed bring out the best in us and for that I can and will get on the bandwagon and celebrate LOVE (despite the cheesy jewelry commercials)

Celebrating love this month, we are featuring our Guided Meditation CD, Journey with Archangel Chammuel, Clearing the Path to Realize True Love. While this meditation certainly supports realizing romantic love and making soulmate connections, the essence of the journey clears the path for us to remember our Truth, which is Love, in all its infinite expressions. Therefore, supporting realizing love within all aspects of our life.

While I did say, let us celebrate love in all its infinite expressions, for me to acknowledge the all encompassing and infinite expressions of Love, I would then literally be here forever . . .

So I leave it to each of you to fill in the space, take a turn to acknowledge, remember and celebrate the truth and beauty of love and how this amazing and intoxicating essence is expressed in your life . . .
